Wondering what it takes to become a better brand?
Hello All!
I have a question or should I say dilemma! I have created several FREE downloads that I feel contain a lot of valuable content. My problem is converting those prospects into customers. My question(s):
A lot of questions I know, but this has been the thorn in my side for months! Thanks!

Kelly,
Theses are some pretty detailed questions that could encompass hours to answer, but here are some answers:
1. absolutely...free gets people to learn more about me. Even in person, I'm always providing free tips and advice to people I'm networking with.
2. I give them tidbits that get them to realize how much I know and what I am all about. They begin to see me as an expert and ultimately want to work with me.
3. If people leave satisfied and not needing more advice, then I know I gave away too much. I try to provide enough insight to get their brains thinking, but wanting more.
4. You can only learn so much from the free stuff. If you want the real meat that is going to get you to see real changes, then you need to pull out the credit card. Free stuff is generally basic info that you can use when you are just getting started with the topic. To learn more advanced information, you need to pay.
I hope this helps,

Hi Kelly,
Your questions are the same questions many others have when they are coaching or service-based. Kim made some great points. Your freebies are your red spoon, just giving a taste but leaving people wanting more. Sometimes you can package the downloads you mentioned together, but make sure you are giving away too much for free. (You know the saying: why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free, right?) You might be better off choosing 1 or 2 freebies and packaging the rest together--if they are related-- for a charge. OR having a daily e-course, with each day highlighting each freebie for a week. Another important aspect is consistency. If you are consistent, people will begin to know you and hopefully even like you. Give them a reasono to trust you and you convert them into paying customers. Hope that helps.
